The original half of a card tells the truth

A history card keeps two versions of a dictation, and the left one was quietly wrong in three different ways. It now shows exactly the words the model heard, with everything an AI Style removed struck through, so you can see what Polish or Shorter actually did instead of guessing. Replacements were the other half of the problem: a rule you added after recording never reached re-style or retry, a rule you deleted went on rewriting old dictations, and the card shown when your free week ends quoted your replacement list instead of you.

A quieter orb

The orb sat at full strength all day even with nothing to say, so recording and styling had to shout over it. It is smaller now and much quieter at rest, and while you dictate a ring around it answers your voice. Nothing swaps in its middle any more: recording no longer replaces the logo with level bars, and the styling glyph that used to flash for a fraction of a second is gone. Everything that pops up beside the orb — tooltips, the status pill, the picker lists — now shares one look instead of three. ⌘⇧Y opens the style picker from anywhere. From the "+" card you can add a replacement rule, not just a word. Dictating into the middle of a sentence no longer breaks it apart, the first syllable is no longer clipped, and the first dictation after a pause no longer waits on a stale token. Polish resolves a spoken self-correction instead of transcribing both halves, styles stopped inserting em dashes against their own instructions, and a dropped connection no longer signs you out.

A shorter wait after you let the key go

Cloud transcription used to spend part of its time, after you released the key, renewing the session that authorises the upload. That now happens while you are still speaking, so the only thing left when you finish is sending the audio. Nothing about recording waits on it, and a dictation that stays on your Mac never touches the network. Kazhy also tells you which version it is running: beside Check for Updates in the menu, and on the Help screen, where the line about what a report includes now names the version instead of promising it.

The settings window, tidied

Settings had grown four different ways to label a group of controls and five ways to space them, so one window looked like several. There is one way now, on all ten screens, and the window keeps its fixed width instead of stretching the first time a long sentence appears on it. Also fixed: a long list of replacements no longer traps the page behind it, so the rest of the screen stays reachable with the pointer over the list. Changing the interface language re-translates the screen you are looking at, not only its title. In history, a word that only had a letter re-capitalised is marked one letter rather than whole. On the Language screen, pressing Return once the search has narrowed to a single language switches you to it, and the highlight no longer sticks to every row you scroll past. The Formatting screen scrolls, which it never did.

Your languages, and words the model keeps getting wrong

Kazhy no longer guesses which language you are speaking, because a wrong guess does not produce a typo, it translates the sentence. You name the languages you speak, and the orb's language button switches between them with a click, from anywhere with Cmd Shift L. Setup collects them in the order you pick, offering the ones your Mac already knows, and Settings shows that same order to drag into shape. Custom vocabulary is honest about its ceiling now: the model reads only twenty to thirty five words before a dictation, so Kazhy measures in the units the model counts, shows where you stand, and marks what it cannot send. Nothing you add is refused any more. And replacements are the way past that ceiling: a pair of what was heard and what should be written, applied after transcription, with no limit on how many you keep.

A slow connection stops costing you time

When cloud transcription stalls, Kazhy now starts transcribing on your Mac alongside it and pastes whichever finishes first. A bad moment on the network costs a couple of seconds instead of leaving you in front of an empty field, and nothing is ever lost to it. The model list is honest about size too: Large v3 Turbo was listed at 950 MB and takes 3 GB on disk, and every model now shows what it actually occupies. Medium becomes the recommended one, because on speech of ordinary length it is faster than Large v3 Turbo and less than half the size. Tiny and Small are no longer offered on a fresh install; if you already use one, it keeps working exactly as before. The custom style editor counts characters as you type, so a prompt too long to send is caught while you write it rather than when you dictate.

Styles that keep your words

AI Styles are markedly more careful with what you actually said. They no longer "correct" product names and technical terms into ordinary words that resemble them, no longer drop the small words that change what a sentence claims, and no longer slip in invisible characters that break when pasted into a terminal or a commit message. Styling is faster too. Two styles are new: Commit message turns a spoken description of a change into a single conventional-commit line, written in the language you dictated it in; Shorter cuts spoken filler without cutting anything you actually claimed. Punctuation only and Slack message are retired, because Polish was already doing their job, and whichever of the two you had selected now lands on Polish.

The free week, actually offered

Setup now asks you to sign in, and that is what starts your seven days of full Premium — cloud transcription and AI Styles, no card. The week already existed, but nothing ever offered it: unless you went looking for the sign-in yourself it never began, so most people spent their first days on the free tier believing they had already seen everything Kazhy does. Skip the step and the menu bar keeps the offer open. Settings, Plans and AI Styles now speak your language instead of falling back to English on the screens you pay on, the menu has a direct line for feedback, and Kazhy stays dark whatever your system appearance is.

More reliable cloud transcription

A filter meant to remove background noise and stray artifacts could also remove real speech, so a sentence sometimes arrived shorter than you said it. Cloud transcription now keeps what you actually said; on-device transcription was never affected. AI Styles also stay closer to your words: Email, Slack message and Bullet list no longer swap words for synonyms, add greetings you never dictated, or force a short note into a longer form. Long messages get proper punctuation, and no style will move your text into another language.

Signing in now gets you seven days of full Premium — cloud transcription and AI Styles, no card. Free itself gives more than before: 1000 words a day, your full history, and custom vocabulary, all of which used to be limited or Premium-only. AI Styles also stop rewriting what you said: they no longer swap words for synonyms, drop the small words that change a sentence's meaning, or "correct" product names and commands into ordinary words that resemble them.
